fall fashion
these are just a few pieces that inspire me when i'm dressing myself for fall/winter. my favorite runway shows for this season are Dior, Rodarte, Proenza Schouler, CĂ©line, among others. Rich colors and textures are important, and I'll be pairing them with basic leather and wool pieces this fall. I am in the market for some great beige and black heels for this fall- as well as some FUR! (faux or vintage for me, a vegetarian). last but not least, leather will of course be a staple this winter. enjoy!

him
i feel like this is the first time i've really felt true love. totally selfless, sacrificing, all-consuming love. and it's so beautiful.

new york fashion week highlights
i loved the slick look of alexander wang's collection. the leather headscarves and rich textures were to die for.
tibi was definitely my favorite. the clean lines and great tailoring really caught my eye. the pops of color, however, definitely stole the show- i am obsessed with the canary yellow and peach!
proenza schouler, of course. my boys. jack and lazaro definitely stayed true to their style- bold prints, silohuettes, and rich colors were abundant as the models marched down the shag carpet runway.
NYFW fall '11.... i'll be there in person next time, you can count on it. :)

clothing haul
these are just a few of the things i've bought lately. top photo: paperbag shorts, camel color, H&M- these shorts are so great. they are comfy (albeit a little hot) and look awesome paired with my new white button-down (not pictured). Next--paperbag shorts, beige, Urban outfitters (they look great, but they're already falling apart... don't buy them); black sheer button up, H&M.
got this great silk multi-colored dress from a vintage store, the brand is BB Dakota. the only thing i don't like is that the straps are adjustable by tying them... such a hassle... but other than that it's great. i also got this greaattt sheer chiffon button up from American Apparel in a navy color. it looks great long over a dress or tied up over some cute shorts with heels. last but not least, i bought this beautiful white chiffon (hmm... so much chiffon) maxi skirt from ASOS. it is beautiful and flowing and soo comfortable. It has a black elastic waistband which i like, and can be worn around the hips or up around the waist!
love my items... i think they'll help me make a good transition into fall. :)
have a good day lovelies.
